Mike Trask is a consummate musician, recording engineer and all around creative individual. Whether he is behind the board at his Memramcook Recording Company studio helping musicians document their work, or behind the mic on stage performing his own material, Trask can capture the magic of the moment better than most. His work is practically guaranteed to leave a lasting impression. His aesthetic is unmistakable and infectious.
On his latest single, The Painter, taken from his forthcoming album TV Dinner, expected to arrive later this year, Trask flexes his distinct creative muscles in a way so few can. Playing most of the instruments himself, as well as crafting the accompanying video (complete with greenscreen floating heads and elements of primitive 1980s graphic design), he continues to succeed in paving a path of originality.
The Painter is Trask at his most experimental.
