Local 107.3 FM to host second Youth Radio Camp, August 20-24.

Saint John’s community radio station 107.3 FM will once again offer youth ages 9-14 a full week of all things radio when they host their second Yourh Radio Camp this August.

This week-long, no cost camp will include workshops and various opportunities for young journalists and broadcasters to engage with one another as well as the public.

This year’s camp will operate in partnership with Saint John’s Fundy Fringe Festival giving campers the chance to interview many of the artists participating in this year’s festival.

“The Fundy Fringe is thrilled and honoured to once again partner with Local 107.3 on their annual radio camp,”said Sarah Rankin, director of Fundy Fringe Festival. “It’s a joy to see the youth interact with performers from around the world, listening to and sharing their stories with each other.

“I’m blow away by the professionalism of the youth who participate,” she said. “Not only does it allow Fringe performers a chance to share a bit about their shows and themselves, but they also get to connect with the community on a much deeper level by engaging with, and hopefully inspiring, the next generation of creators and innovators.”

The camp will run for one week, starting Monday, August 20th until August 24th. Programming will run from 8:45 a.m. to 5 p.m.
