Fredericton’s springtime arts and music festival now accepting submissions for 2017 programming.
Although it’s only two festivals young, Fredericton’s FLOURISH Festival is quickly becoming one of the most important arts and music gatherings happening anywhere in the province. Since hosting their inaugural event in April 2015, organizers have watched the festival grow from a celebratory weekend of local musicians and artists into an end of winter celebration attracting musicians from Ontario, Quebec, Maine and all over the Maritimes to take part in four days of live performances, film screenings, art shows and exhibits, and vendor markets. And as if that wasn’t enough of a growth spurt, last year also marked the introduction of FLOURISH residencies, an art creation program embedding out-of-town artists into the city’s arts community with studio space, accommodations and an enormous amount of friendship and kindness.
FLOURISH is now accepting submissions from all artistic disciplines interested in participating in the 2017 edition of the festival. You can find all that information right here. Deadline for applications is October 31, 2016.
