BOLERO Originally composed as a ballet commissioned by Russian actress and dancer Ida Rubinstein, the piece, which premiered in 1928, is Ravel’s most famous musical composition and epitomizes Ravel’s preoccupation with restyling and reinventing dance movements. Igor Dobrovolskiy works cleverly convey human emotion within the landscape of movement in a way that redefines classical dance and engages audiences.
Atlantic Ballet Theatre of Canada is thrilled to partner with the outstanding woodwind quintet VENTUS MACHINA in a brilliant evening of movement harmony, vitality with the virtuoso dancers of the company.

Kenny Vs. Spenny – On The Road

With a string of sold out shows behind them, Kenny Hotz and Spencer Rice are bringing their Kenny vs. Spenny On The Road live show to the east coast.
An interactive evening with two of Canada’s comedic pioneers, Kenny vs. Spenny live includes a Q & A, heated debates and, of course, possible and random humiliations.

Hotz and Rice created and starred in six seasons of the competition-based Kenny vs. Spenny TV show that aired on CBC, Showcase and Comedy Central, wrapping up with a Christmas Special in December 2010. Beginning in March 2014, the live show hit the road for 13 dates and continues with 16 stops this fall and international cities to be announced.
