Belleisle, New Brunswick’s Levi Rowan is playing the long-game. Since releasing his debut album Nude Beach in early 2017, he’s been slowly dropping new singles over the past year. Last week he shared his third single Lovers/Friends along with an accompanying video shot by InFocus Photo & Films featuring a guest appearance by Lacey Conrad.
“The idea of the video was to capture a relationship of two people that can’t let each other go,” said Rowan. “No matter how toxic the relationship may be, they’re naive enough to think that being friends is better then nothing at all.”
‘Lovers/Friends’ was produced by Daniel James, one half of the electro duo, Bleum.
“Daniel has produced my last two singles, Down Low and What Happened,” said Rowan. “He will be the executive producer of my entire next album.”
The album is currently in production and no release date has yet been set.
“I was recording earlier this week and we’re closing in on around eight or nine songs that are definitely on the album and finished but I want to make sure it comes out right,” said Rowan.
Rowan will join comedian James Mullinger for a performance at Harbour Station on April 28.
