Following the announcement of their first full season of programming, the Elm City String Quartet have shared a live performance of Blueprint by Caroline Shaw.
Last summer, the members of the Elm City String Quartet teamed up with videographer Dillon Anthony and The Recordery to film a live performance of Caroline Shaw’s highly dynamic composition, Blueprint. Filmed inside the Christ Church Cathedral in Fredericton, this seven minute performance serves as both an introduction and a prelude to the group’s upcoming season which begins September 23 at Wilmot United Church.
Caroline Shaw is the youngest composer ever to be awarded the Pulitzer Prize in Music. Blueprint was first performed by the Aizuri Quartet in April of 2016.
