The Beaverbrook Art Gallery has two workshops coming up as part of its 60th anniversary celebrations.
Join instructors Trudy Gallagher and Emma Hassencahl-Perley for June and July workshops at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery.
Trudy Gallagher: Wampum Bracelet | June 15 | 10-12 p.m.
Participants will create a bracelet made of synthetic wampum shell, leather and sinew, and will learn about the connections between storytelling and wampum as a currency and gift on the east coast.
$40 non-members | $30 members
Emma Hassencahl-Perley: Mixed Media Workshop | July 6 | 2-4 p.m.
Emma Hassencahl-Perley, curator ofCarl Beam: One Who is Brave-Hearted, will lead participants in an exploratory tour of the exhibition, followed by an experimental workshop in which participants have the chance to respond to themes of the artist’s work.
$15 non-members | $10 members
