Too Bad Jim share new single and tour dates

Gritty rock duo Too Bad Jim set to make 2024 their busiest yet playing several shows over the winter months.

Matt Carter

I may be way off base here, but with the news of a new single and a slew of tour dates on the horizon for Fredericton rock duo Too Bad Jim, the first few months of 2024 may just about double to total number of shows guitarist Matt Carr and drummer Ryan Barrie played in all of 2023. Well, almost.

Following a similar pattern to 2023, Carr and Barrie will set out to play a number of shows during the most challenging driving season of the year. In January of last year, Too Bad Jim hit the road for eight dates in and around New Brunswick. This times they have added dates in Nova Scotia and PEI to the mix. And why not? They have got a hot new single to share.

How Does It Feel? is rock and roll whittled down to its simplest form, which is also Too Bad Jim’s M.O. Guitar, drums, vocals, and foot stompin’ riffs.

In a way, this new single is a bit of a reprise. Back in November of 2022, Carr and Barrie shared what can only now be described as an early version of the song. Here today in 2024, How Does It Feel? could also be a question for us as listeners. Especially if you follow the band and are familiar with the song because let’s be honest, this one feels a whole lot different thanks to some snappy production work by Don Lavandier (The Motorleague). This one packs a serious punch while boasting Carr’s grittiest guitar tone yet, and that is saying something.

Find How Does It Feel? on your favourite streaming platform and watch for Too Bad Jim rolling through your town this winter.
