Acting and performance classes for students grades K-12
Does your child like to tell stories? Do you often spot them singing, dancing and performing around the house? If so, then there is a good chance that they were born for the stage–and Theatre New Brunswick wants to give them their time in the spotlight.
The TNB Theatre School offers a wide range of summer programs for children in grades K-12. These week-long programs provide the students with the opportunity to form new friendships, and develop new skills while producing top-notch theatre.
“Over the years our summer classes have grown into something very special,” said Tania Breen, Director of the TNB Theatre School. “Each course is designed specifically for their age-level to create a supportive, nurturing environment.”
TNB Theatre School annually enrolls over 400 students interested in music, voice, acting, dancing and performance. The students will not only work with the regular Theatre School team, but also with TNB Theatre School Alumni who have gone on to post-secondary theatre training.
“The students get a chance to rehearse the way the professionals do, with the goal of performing a high-quality, well-rehearsed show at the end of the week,” said Breen. “It is a high-energy, and demanding-yet-fun atmosphere. In the end, the students come away with more skills, amazing memories, and a performance they can be proud of.”
