It’s officially spring! We made it! Celebrate the season by getting off the couch and heading out to take part in one or more of these events happening this week in Fredericton.

Wednesday 

UNB Leadership Speaker Series focuses on Housing & Homelessness. Innovative Approaches to Housing and Homelessness: Advocacy, Leadership, and Movement Building is a free virtual panel discussion centered on the issue of homelessness and affordable housing in the community and the actions needed to address it. Panelists include: Marcel Lebrun, Tim Ross and Kate Rogers. 7 p.m. on Zoom.

Open Mic at Maybee Brewery. 7 p.m.

Open Mic at Broken Record Bar and Music Room. 8 p.m.

Thursday 

Women in Comedy at The Tipsy Muse Café. See some of the region’s funniest ladies in a pop-up stand-up comedy show! 7 p.m.

Trivia Night at Grimross Brewing Co. Grab some pals and come test your always sunny knowledge of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia while enjoying a few beers. 7 p.m.

8 Track Mind at Dolan’s Pub. Enjoy a tribute to the 70’s and 80’s finest in retro pop and rock.

Friday 

Chillteens + Helium Submarine + Travis Flynn at The Cap. This evening lineup presented by the lovely folks at Flourish Festival. 9 p.m.

Morgan Davis at The Tipsy Muse Café. Canadian blues legend Morgan Davis returns to the city for an intimate show at The Muse. 7 p.m.

Living Roots Fundraising show and auction at Grimross Brewing Co. Enjoy performances by Delirious Monks, Carlin Fraser, Blaire Nicolle Trio, Richie Young, Dana Dickinson and others while bidding on silent auction items in support of Living Roots 2022. 7 p.m.

Next Folding Theatre Company presents Snakes are Cool at the CSAC. This solo(ish) sketch show by Jake Martin at the Charlotte Street Arts Centre. Tickets are $15 or $10 for Students and Seniors, and are available at the door or reserve your tickets today by emailing artisticdirector@nextfolding.ca. 7:30 p.m.

Theresa Malenfant & Scott Medford at Klub Khrome. 7:30 p.m.

Mister Monark + Vince The Messenger + Ghettosocks at The Cap. Hopscotch, Atlantic Canada’s premiere hip-hop musical festival presents this stellar lineup. 9 p.m.

Marian at The Tipsy Muse Café. With big chords, and wide swaggering grooves, Marian has grounded themselves as true-to-form rock n’ roll. 7 p.m. 

Black Magic – A Tribute to Santana at Grimross Brewing Co. Two sets of music from the great Santana. 8 p.m.
