Saint John’s annual art after dark event announces 2017 lineup.
Get ready for another incredible immersive art experience. THIRD SHIFT – Art After Dark in Saint John , NB is set to take place Friday August 18 in the city’s Uptown core.
Over the past two years the event has included a wide array of installation and participatory arts events each a site-specific experience using the city’s narrow alleys, steep inclines and stunning architecture as a backdrop, a stage or guerrilla gallery.
“This year’s fantastic lineup of local, national and international artists will present projects that investigate the relative conditions of time, transience, and occupancy within the context of this region’s past, present and future/alternative histories,” said organizers in a July 24 release.
Participating artists include Nathalie Quagiotto, Cyril Sacobie, Meagan Musseau, Marie-Hélène Morell, Brandon Vickerd, Beck & Col Stafford, Sandi Hartling, Acre Architects & Janice Wright Cheney, Open Arts, Jud Crandall, Maryse Arsenault, Industrial Parks with Rosalind MacPhail, Phillip Clark and Melissa Wakefield & Alana O’Halloran.
