The TNB Theatre School’s annual big-stage musical arrives at the Fredericton Playhouse next week.
TNB Theatre School’s Senior Musical Theatre students are off to see the Wizard and you’re invited to join them on this magical journey!
TNB Theatre School’s annual end of the year big-stage musical comes to life on the Fredericton Playhouse stage with four performances, April 25-27.
“With whimsical costumes, vibrant sets and special effects projections, together with a 22-piece orchestra, our Senior Musical Theatre’s production of The Wizard of Oz will transport its audience to the magical, technicolor world of Oz that we all know and love,” said TNB Theatre School Director Sharisse LeBrun.
This production celebrates the School’s most accomplished musical theatre performers working alongside professional instructors, musicians, choreographers and set, lighting and costume designers.
“The SMT students have been working so hard mastering the musical’s magical score and bringing to life the quirky characters and worlds that Dorothy meets on her journey,” said LeBrun. “While they have embraced the classic style of the Golden Age of Hollywood movie, you can also be sure that the SMT students are constantly bringing new ideas and life to the show in a way that only this particular cast and creative team can.”
The TNB Theatre School was founded in 1999 and will celebrate its 20th anniversary this fall.
