Slowcoaster frontman returns to Fredericton for a solo performance January 6 at Grimross Brewing Co.
Cape Breton singer/songwriter Steven MacDougall is back in New Brunswick this week with at least one show on the calendar. MacDougall plays Grimross Brewing this Thursday night.
It’s been five year’s since MacDougall released his second solo album, Cruel & Unusual, and nearly 20 years since he and bassist Mike LeLievre formed the band Slowcoaster with drummer Devon Strang.
Over the past two decades, MacDougall forged a career as a songwriter and performer. Outside of his solo and band pursuits, MacDougall has written songs with fellow Cape Breton musician Gordie Samspon, has been Musical Director for the East Coast Music Awards and was a member of the three person writing team that composed the music for the 2010 Paralympic Games. He is also a regular instructor at the Gordie Sampson Songcamp.
