Stingray, Music Runs Through It and the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival team up for mid-winter blues show.

Two of Canada’s best blues guitar players will take to the stage at Dolan’s Pub next month for what will surely be a memorable night. Stringray Music and Music Runs Through It have teamed up with the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival to bring multiple award winning guitarist Steve Hill to Fredericton for a show on March 20. Hill will share the stage with Fredericton’s own legend in the making, Keith Hallett.

CBC music columnist Bob Mersereau called Hill “the top star in the Canadian blues scene”. Hill’s one-man-band performance style pairs his remarkable guitar prowess with jaw dropping percussion accompaniment to deliver the sound and feel of a full ensemble.

Hill’s album Solo Recordings Volume Two won the Juno Award for Blues Album of the Year in 2015 and went on to earn him a total of four Maple Blues Awards.

Keith Hallett is a Maple Blues Award nominee who has shared the stage with Junior Watson, Lazy Lester, Buddy Guy, Sonny Landreth, Garrett Mason and several others over the past decade. Since establishing himself as a prominent blues musician, Hallett continues to challenge the genre’s form and esthetic through various collaborations and projects with non-blues acts like the art-rock trio Motherhood and with his current duo, Janowskii.
