The Charlotte Street Arts Centre hosts, in partnership with Shivering Songs, the 2015 Songwriting Intensive with the Skydiggers, followed by the Intensive Showcase. Both events take place the weekend of January 24 + 25, with the Intensive Showcase presented to the public on January 25 at 5pm.
Canadian roots rock band, Skydiggers, visit Fredericton from Toronto in order to lead the Songwriting Intensive. The impressive list of participants selected to rock out with the Skydiggers come from around the province, including: Jean-Étienne Sheehy/ Off Season (Fredericton, NB), Bethany Williams-Hayden/ Betty Time (Minto, NB), Mike Tremblett (Dalhousie Junction, NB), Debbie Adshade (Kingston, NB), Camilo Villamizar (Fredericton, NB), Chloe Brown (Saint John, NB), Sarah Skinner (Fredericton, NB), Jamie Blanchard (Fredericton, NB), Hanna Kennedy (Burton, NB), Kat Gorey-McSorley (Fredericton, NB), Scott Cuzner (Fredericton, NB) andSandy MacKay (Rothesay, NB).
After spending two days with Skydiggers members workshopping their own songs-in-progress, Songwriting Intensive participants, who are a unique blend of emerging and established musicians, will present their newly polished songs to the public. Join us for the Intensive Showcase in the CSAC Auditorium on Sunday, January 25, beginning at 5pm — admission is by donation, at the door. This will be a one-of-a-kind event, not to be missed!
