Charlotte Street Arts Centre Media Release | @CSArtsCentre
2016 marks the third year of our partnership with Shivering Songs festival to bring the songwriters of New Brunswick a unique professional development opportunity. Following workshops with Christine Fellows and John K Samson in 2014 and Skydiggers in 2015, we are pleased to present Michael Feuerstack as 2016’s workshop facilitator.
Selected participants will spend two days with Michael, receiving feedback on songs-in-progress and working collaboratively with other songwriters to perfect their tunes. The Intensive culminates to a public showcase on Sunday, January 24th, 2016, hosted by Michael Feuerstack, in which each songwriter will speak to their development and perform their newly-perfected songs.
2016’s selected participants range in age and experience, but share the common thread of enthusiasm for Michael’s work and keenness to learn. We are pleased to announce the following artists as this year’s participants:
Ryan Hillier (Moncton) , Joshua Bravener (Fredericton) , sophia bartholomew (Fredericton) , Richard Porter (Plaster Rock) , Bad People (Saint John) , Colin Fowlie (Fredericton), Tracy Anderson (Woodstock) , Sam Astorino (Fredericton) , Leo LaFleur (Saint John) , and Scott Mallory (Saint Andrews) .
Plan to join Michael Feuerstack & the songwriters on Sunday, January 24th, for the public showcase! It takes place at 5:00 p.m. in the Charlotte Street Auditorium (732 Charlotte Street), and admission is by donation.
