Solo Chicken Productions are hosting auditions for a new season with the coop.
Solo Chicken Productions physical theatre initiative, the coop will be holding auditions on Thursday October 20th 2016 in the Ted Daigle Theatre. The company, which is led by contemporary choreographer Lesandra Dodson and physical theatre artist Lisa Anne Ross are looking to train and develop work with a new batch of emerging New Brunswick talent.

Prepare In Advance: Please prepare a 1-minute movement piece based on the attached text.
What To Expect At The Audition: This audition will be held as an open class. Everyone should be prepared to attend from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Lesandra Dodson & Lisa Anne Ross will lead a group warm-up followed by exercises. Each actor will be asked to share their 1-minute movement piece and then the directors will use those movement phrases to create a larger piece. Dress in neutral comfortable clothing and be prepared to move.

the coop is looking for unique and talented emerging theatre artists who are equipped to work in a rigorous creative environment that demands physical, vocal and textual abilities. We seek to cast individuals who are:
- Artistically courageous, open minded, disciplined, professional and hard working
- Possess a healthy range of vocal experience including extensive work with text/dialogue
- A giant imagination, can share ideas, contribute and collaborate effectively
- Loves to explore, experiment with ideas, and think outside the box
- Comfort level with physically based work
- Strong improvisational skills
the coop, so named to encompass a creative cocoon or incubator, is a performance collective for professional artists to research, develop and perform original works of physical theatre. It aims to support artistic growth of emerging New Brunswick artists through training and performance opportunities. The coop was conceived out of a growing need to create, nurture and support the wealth of emerging NB performance artists through access to meaningful creative process and collaboration.
