Sleepy Driver & Friends Bring Northeastern Chorus to Playhouse

Category: music 178

Roots rockers Sleepy Driver have partnered with Music Runs Through It and an impressive cast of collaborators to host a unique live music performance.

Earlier this year the members of Fredericton’s Sleepy Driver took their love of collaboration to the next level with the release of Northeastern Chorus. For this eleven track album, the band invited some of their favourite musicians and songwriters into the studio to share words, music and creative ideas. The resulting album features songs by Peter Hicks and John Heinstein, Sissy and the Hobos’ Juanita Bourque and Clinton Charlton, a member of Bonnett House, Jessica Rhaye and the Ramshackle Parade and several other Saint John area bands.

On November 27, the band, together with many of their friends, will take to the Fredericton Playhouse stage to celebrate their music, their friendship and the album it spawned.

The show will include performances by Sleepy Driver with special guests Juanita Bourque, Shane Guitar, Jamie Guitar, Kelly Waterhouse, Jonnie Price, Ross Beckett, Chris Browne, Erin Keith, Jason Sonier, Sylvia Reentovich, Justine Everett, Aidan Hicks, and The Chanterelles.

Tickets for this show are on sale now.
