Toronto musician Chris Hughes brings his latest project to the east coast in November with performances in Saint John, Fredericton and Halifax.
After more than a decade spent writing and performing as a member of the Brampton, Ontario post-hardcore band Moneen, guitarist/vocalist Chris Hughes began writing music for something a little different, something a little more dynamic and exploitative than what he was doing at the time. In 2011, Hughes wrote, recorded and released the EPs Fragments and Dreaming, hiring his old bandmates and Moneen rhythm section Peter Krpan and Erik Hughes to support in a live setting.
Since launching Seas, Hughes has added a few more players to the group’s lineup (Michael Bolt and Adrian Mottram) and to date, have released two full-length albums. Seas’ latest album Cursed was released last fall through Canadian indie giant, Dine Alone Records.
Fans of Seas on the east coast of Canada are in for a treat this coming November. Fredericton label and management group She Said Feck has announced three upcoming Seas solo performances with shows planned for Saint John, Fredericton and Halifax.
