Comedians Shaun Majumber and Matt Wright announce East Coast summer tour with dates in PEI, NS and NB.
This Hour Has 22 Minutes’ co-host Shaun Majumber has announced a series of East Coast dates as part of his HATE Tour, beginning July 5 in Saint John. An unlikely title for a comedic performance, Majumber’s upcoming tour will peel back the layers of political rhetoric that dominate our news feeds and help alleviate our stress and worry with a healthy dose of laughter.
“I don’t want to explain too much,” said Majumder, a native of Burlington, Newfoundland (population 350). “It’s about the time we live in with all the divisive nature of politics and society. The theme of the tour is HATE”.
Majumber is an award-winning actor, writer and comedian known to many for his work on the CBC program This Hours Has 22 Minutes as well as numerous film and television appearances. Four this tour, Majumder will be joined by fellow comedian Matt Wright in this full-throttle, no-holds-barred dissection of the current times.
Wright has performed at festivals and clubs across Canada and, like Majumder, grew up in Newfoundland. Matt is currently a writer with This Hour has 22 Minutes and his album Vasectomy Baby went to #2 on the iTunes Canadian Comedy charts.
Tickets for all performances are now on sale.
