Cherished by many, the Goldberg Variations are emblematic of keyboard virtuosity, rich expression, and hardcore classical interpretation. On November 12, pianist Sarah Hagen will offer a short introduction to this marvellous and intense work before playing the full work at the Charlotte Street Arts Centre’s Jim Myles Auditorium.
Sarah tours across Canada and internationally as both pianist and humorist. Her interpretations have been described as “outstandingly inventive” [University of Waterloo Gazette], played “flawlessly” [ReviewVancouver] and “with great sensitivity and heart” [Vernon Morning Star]. Her latest album “Women of Note” was recently awarded as Music PEI’s 2021 Instrumental Album of the Year.
