Fredericton’s Daisy Cutters take on Saint John’s Shipyard Sirens
The Capital City Rollers are Fredericton’s only flat track roller derby league. Roller derby is one of the fastest growing sports around the world and has even blossomed into a co-ed sport in recent years.
It’s a new season for the Daisy Cutters, which means a busy spring and summer for the players and coaches of the Capital City Rollers. The Daisy Cutters closed last season with a spectacular third place finish at the Atlantic Regional Championships, Slay of Fundy and will be facing off against Saint John’s Shipyard Sirens for their season opener.
Capital City Rollers are proud to announce that three players from the Daisy Cutters have also been drafted to Team NB, New Brunswick’s provincial roller derby team. Team NB is comprised of players from leagues across the province.
Daisy Cutters’ Julie Maitland #7, Sneaky Kat #78 and Edith Paf #13 will be competing against seven of their Team NB teammates for the Daisy Cutter’s first home bout of the season.
