Sonic Concerts announces Matt Mays, July Talk and The Beaches at UNB’s Currie Centre, January 19.

JUNO Award-winning Canadian rock bands Matt Mays and July Talk are teaming up this winter for an East Coast tour that includes a show at the Currie Center in Fredericton on Friday, January 19 with special guest The Beaches.

Matt Mays released his sixth studio album, Once Upon a Hell of a Time, on Oct. 20. The bulk of the album was recorded with co-producer Loel Campbell (Wintersleep) during a two-month period in Montreal during the summer of 2016. 

July Talk return to the East Coast after several successful visits to Atlantic Canada, including Fredericton and Halifax, earlier this year. The band’s latest album, Touch, is the highly anticipated follow up to the band’s 2012 self-titled debut and took home the 2017 JUNO Award for Alternative Album of the Year

Special guests, The Beaches, recently released their latest album, Late Show. The band has performed at major festivals, including Osheaga and Wayhome, opened for Eagles of Death Metal and are currently on tour supporting Death From Above.
