Sorrey share new single in advance of April tour with shows in Moncton, Fredericton, Charlottetown and Halifax.
While their debut full-length album is still several months away from its fall release, PEI’s Sorrey have shared the first single, Talking To Them. The band, led by songwriter and guitarist Emilee Sorrey, will be joining Tokyo Police Club for a string of east coast dates beginning April 10 in Moncton at the Tide & Boar.
Talking To Them is a dreamy pop song about cutting ties and moving on. It’s an empowering anthem for anyone seeking new direction and renewed focus.
Sorrey’s single release is part of Music PEI’s Golden Ticket program. The Golden Ticket Program was developed by Music PEI to assist emerging artists to record and release a single. The program team includes a selected studio and producer for each artist, publicity by SpinCount and the program is managed by John MacPhee (Paper Lions). Program elements include producing the track, developing a marketing plan, registering with all PRO’s, uploading to digital platforms, creating lyric videos and radio tracking along with professional development training.
