Fredericton-based neo-classical duo Pallmer will be playing shows across Canada over the coming weeks. Joining Pallmer’s Mark Kleyn (Viola) and Emily Kennedy (Cello and Vocals) for this string of performances will be experimental soundscape artist Charles Harding. Prior to founding Pallmer in 2018, Kennedy was a member of Harding’s short-lived experimental pop group Property//.

Pallmer’s latest release Tulips, the first single from the group’s forthcoming album, was released on May 26. Recorded and engineered by JUNO Award-winning composer and performer Joshua Van Tassel, who contributes additional textures to the track, Tulips marks the first release in which Pallmer opened their music up to outside collaboration, building upon the airy textures and layered complexities that have defined each new release spanning their five years of music making. With Harding in tow for this current tour, Klein and Kennedy appear eager to continue pushing their music in new and exciting directions.
