Daniel Romano’s Outfit, Ria Mae, Rose Cousins, Mike Trask, and several others announced for Paddlefest, May 18-21.
The summer festival season begins early here in New Brunswick. In fact, it actually gets underway in the spring with the Paddlefest Music & Outdoor Recreation Festival. This year’s event will occupy bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and shorelines around the festival’s main stage tent in the centre of St. Andrews.
The team behind Paddlefest have once again curated a diverse lineup of music programming which runs the gamut from rock to jazz, indie to blues, reggae to pop. Ria Mae, Daniel Romano’s Outfit and Rose Cousins headline the 2023 edition which also sees performances from Ottawa blues musician Angelique Francis, NB country favourites The Hypochondriacs, Garage rocker Michael Rault, California country songstress Pearl Charles, Halifax reggae queen Jah’Mila, Mi’kmaq fiddle player Morgan Toney, Fredericton blues musician Mike Trask and more.
Paddlefest 2023 will also see rare performances from festival favourites Earthbound, Coyote and Owen Steel.
Every year much of the festival programming is dedicated to emerging artists from around New Brunswick and the Maritimes. This year is no different with performances from homegrown artists such as Marian, Qwinn, Les Moontunes, Carlene, McKinley, Morrison & Williams, Poets & Liars, Sadie, Lil’ Omar and more.
The Paddlefest Main Stage in town square will be the central hub of programming for the four days. In addition to the Main Stage there will be programming around town at partnering venues Honeybeans Café, the Huntsman Marine Science Centre, The Red Herring Pub, Saint Andrews Brewing Co. Minister’s Island, The Windsor House and more.
Paddlefest 2023 will also feature a wide variety of outdoor and community activities. There will be kayaking and canoeing, yoga, an environmental fair, the Paddlefest Craft Market, the annual Beach Clean Up, the Wharf to Wharf Trail Run and much more.
Weekend Passes and Main Stage Passes are now On Sale! Individual tickets for shows will be on sale in late March along with more lineup announcements and a schedule of recreational activities and community events.
