Peterborough, ON-based musician Nick Ferrio is heading east this month with dates in Fredericton, Halifax, Sackville, NB.
Known to many as the longtime bass player for The Burning Hell, Nick Ferrio has been touring and performing his own material long before the release of his 2012 debut, Nick Ferrio & His Feelings.
In September of 2017, Ferrio released his latest album, Soothsayer, a 10-song collection that finds Ferrio following a slightly different direction than on his previous solo releases – blending folk influences with 70’s rock.
“It’s a bit of a sonic departure from my previous folk and country albums, with more of a 70’s power-pop sound,” said Ferrio.
“Across the set of songs, Ferrio draws on sounds from the ’70s, incorporating elements of power pop and psych rock — but never loses his signature knack for heart-on-his-sleeve storytelling.” – Exclaim! Magazine
“We’ve been busy playing shows in support of it around Ontario, and are now departing on a tour of the east coast in January with appearances at In The Dead of Winter in Halifax and Shivering Songs in Fredericton,” he said. “We’ll be doing quite a bit of touring the rest of 2018 as well.”
Ferrio is touring with a three-piece band that includes Daniel Jacobs on bass and Brandon Munro on drums.
Despite releasing an new album just months ago and spending much of the fall season touring in support of it, Ferrio has already recorded the follow-up to Soothsayer and expects to see that, his fourth full-length, released later this year.
