While his latest album, Real Love, doesn’t officially drop until September 15, New Brunswick-born, Halifax-based performer David Myles has already shared a few tracks, prepping fans for what’s to come. In June he posted a live performance video for the track Night & Day and just last week he shared the album’s second single, Look At Me.
Never one to make the same album twice, the first few singles from Real Love indicate Myles’ latest exploration has taken him back to the roots of rock and roll, country swing and R&B, genres that have each weighed heavily on his complete back catalogue of albums going all the way back to his debut album Together And Alone.
Myles describes his latest single Look At Me as having “big soaring verses like Roy Orbison in the desert, and this really fun quick chorus line that is quite a different vibe…I love it!”
Myles will be touring heavily through October and November but as of this posting, New Brunswick fans will have to wait until December to catch him in concert when he hits the road the Symphony New Brunswick’s holiday tour, It’s Christmas With David Myles.
