Music Runs Through It presents Megan Bonnell at Wilser’s Room, in The Capital Complex, on Thursday, August 31 at 8 p.m.

Daughter + Bon Iver = Megan Bonnell. Ultimately, though, Bonnell’s sound is more like that of fellow Canadian Joni Mitchell. The Toronto-based folk singer has a wide-ranging voice and her lyrics possess an intelligence and poetry. Magnolia, released in 2016, is the singer-songwriter’s sophomore album, following 2013’s Hunt and Chase. Megan has recently toured Canada with Great Lake Swimmers, toured the US with Justin Nozuka, and across Europe including BIME Live and the Barcelona Jazz Festival.
