Motherhood and Mike Trask play The Cap on October 15

Category: music 99

There’s a good chance you’ll hear new music from Motherhood when they play The Cap next week with the pride of Memramcook, Mike Trask.

Motherhood have been working a number of new songs into their live sets over the past year. While shows have been few and far between compared to the band’s pre-pandemic workload of international touring mixed with an heavy dose of regular live shows around the Maritimes, the downtime has had its advantages. New tunes! And a new album in the works. So perhaps 2022 will end up being just a little bit better than we’re all hoping for.

In case you missed it, the band played a live set at the Harvest offices back in the dog days of summer. Check that out (above) to hear a bit of what they have been up to musically since the release of their last studio album, Dear Bongo,.

Mike Trask will join Motherhood for this outstanding double bill coming up October 15 at The Cap. Trask made his vinyl debut earlier this year with the release of TV Dinner, an eleven song collection that shines the biggest light to date on one of New Brunswick’s most original songwriters and performers.

Tickets are on sale now through The Cap’s website.
