Fredericton Playhouse and Symphony NB present a film screening of Frankenstein (1931) with live original score.
The Fredericton Playhouse is celebrating ‘spooky season’ this year with one of horror’s most iconic characters. On October 28, enjoy a screening of the classic 1931 film, Frankenstein, with a live accompaniment by a 9-piece core symphony made up of Symphony NB members.
Andrew Reed Miller, NB composer and Symphony NB member created an original score to be performed live alongside the screening of the movie. The movie, produced by Universal Pictures, stars Colin Clive as Henry Frankenstein, an obsessed scientist who digs up corpses with his assistant in order to assemble a living being from body parts. The resulting creature, played by Boris Karloff, has become an iconic horror character.
You might know the story, but seeing this classic film with live score accompaniment will enhance your experience in a completely new way!
