Mike Biggar and Terra Spencer Holiday Tour

Mike Biggar’s holiday tradition continues this season with Terra Spencer and upcoming shows in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and PEI.

By this point, it is safe to say Mike Biggar’s annual holiday tour has become a tradition for many Maritime holiday music seekers.

Biggar has been playing holiday shows along with special guests for well over a decade. Beginning in 2017, he teamed up with Jessica Rhaye for a run of shows and over the next several years the two would reunite to share songs each new holiday season.

This year will see Biggar touring with Nova Scotia songwriter Terra Spencer. Spencer’s latest album, Old News, a collaboration with Ben Caplan, won the award for Folk/Roots Recording of the Year during Nova Scotia Music Week in October.

To mark the season and to celebrated their upcoming tour, Biggar and Spencer wrote and released the new holiday single, Mad at Santa.

“When Terra and I decided to do this Songs of the Season Christmas tour together, we thought it would be great to finally do a co-write after years of friendship and talking about it, and we thought that a holiday song would be a great way to help promote the shows,” said Biggar. “We had been joking about how we were a fair distance apart, so we thought a song about that would be appropriate. And we ended up with a song about two lovers who are ripped at Santa because their one wish of being together at Christmas wasn’t granted.”
