Living Roots Music Festival (May 24-27, 2017) will present Ben Caplan at Wilmot United Church May 27.
After a successful first year run that included performances by Zachary Lucky, Roxanne Potvin and The Backyard Devils, Living Roots Music Festival is gearing up for year two with today’s announcement of headlining performer Ben Caplan. No stranger to Fredericton stages, Caplan has built an impressive following with countless memorable bar and festival performances in the province to his credit. The performance scheduled for May 27 at Wilmot United Church will be presented in partnership with Shivering Songs.
“I am very excited to be able to co-present Ben along with the folks from Shivering Songs,” said festival founder Eddie Young. “This will be a big step forward for Living Roots. Shivering Songs are veterans to the festival scene and I can learn a lot from their involvement.”
With the complete festival lineup announcement set for March 23, organizers have already indicated this year’s event will be bigger and better with more than 40 touring and local acts performing at eight different venues around the Fredericton area.
“I am sure with the addition of Ben and an even larger and diverse lineup than last year, folks will be very pleased with what Living Roots has to offer, not to mention some great venues,” said Young. “I can’t wait to get this all out.”
