Since coming together last October, LAPS have maintained an impressive performance schedule playing shows throughout New Brunswick and Nova Scotia with the likes of Whoop-Szo, Omhouse, Klarka Weinwurm, Century Egg and others. And with the release of their four track debut EP, eyelet/islet, recorded by Corey Bonnevie (Little You, Little Me, Motherhood, Learning), LAPS cemented their place as one of the most unique sounding pop ensembles to emerge from the Fredericton’s music community.
Today, the band announced a nine date tour, a trek that will see the group perform throughout Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick during July. LAPS are also part of this year’s Shifty Bits Circus which will once again take place in Fredericton (August 4-6) before hitting the road for the first time, bringing all things Shifty to audiences in Montreal August 12-13.
