On September 8, Kylie Fox and her band performed at the BMO Studio Theatre in Saint John, capturing a live recording of the song Alberta which first appeared on Fox’s 2017 debut release, BalconyEP.
“Alberta is a song I wrote while tree planting in Western Canada and is still one of my favourite moments in any set,” said Fox. “I go back to the summers spent in the BC woods, washing my hair in the lake, reading in the truck on the way to the cut-block and realizing my own strength in the complete silence and stillness of the vast rolling hills.”
In addition to several of her own performances planned for the coming weeks, Fox will join with PEI’s Brandon Howard Roy and Nova Scotia’s Burry for a series of shows throughout the Maritimes in November.
