Christmas Boyfriend is classic Fox, rich with heart and humour.
Kylie Fox’ latest single has all the makings of a classic. Channeling her wit and infectious humour, Fox playfully points out the many potential awkward moments that can arise when families come together for the holiday season, complete with inappropriate questions and uncomfortable situations.
I don’t have much time for relationships, but I’m off for the holidays, so to impress my folks and to buy me gifts, I’m accepting resumes.
Christmas Boyfriend was recorded and mixed by Tomato Tomato’s John McLaggan, who also contributed guitar to the track. Little You, Little Me’s Geoffrey Smith plays drums and John Estes plays bass and lap steel. Together with Fox on the mic, Christmas Boyfriend is a welcomed addition to the holiday canon and one many of us can easily relate to.
Christmas Boyfriend was released December 2, 2017.
