The winter just got a little more bearable thanks to a recent notice from The Capital Complex announcing Keith Hallett will be performing each Thursday night during the month of February beginning at 8 p.m.

Since winning the 2007 CBC Galaxie Rising Star Award at the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival, Hallett has been recognized throughout the Atlantic region and across the country for his ability to channel the greats of the genre to create a sound and a vibe all his own.

“Where he gets this world-weary voice, this confidence, plus the mature talent, well, that’s beyond me, but it’s been that way since he was in high school.” – Bob Mersereau, CBC Music Columnist

Hallett has three solo recordings to his credit – Bear With Me, I Just Lost My Mind and Hell West and Crooked and is a frequent collaborator performing on occasion with Garrett Mason, Motherhood and others. He also performs as one half of the duo, Janowskii.

Catch Keith on stage February 1, 8, 15 and 22.
