This summer is proving to be a busy one for Jane Blanchard. In May, she opened for Halifax folk-crooner Ben Caplan at his headlining performance as part of the Living Roots Music Festival in Fredericton and was announced as one of several performers hitting the stage for the second edition of Saint John’s Area 506 festival alongside Tegan & Sarah, The Strumbellas and Stars.
Having recently returned from a summer tour through the Maritimes, Quebec and Ontario with David In The Dark (a band in which she plays key, sings and helps manage), Blanchard is now ready to retrace her steps with a series of solo performances in early July.
In September 2016, Blanchard released her debut, Narcissus, a three track EP on which she is joined by fellow DITD bandmate Stefan Westner on drums. And earlier this year, she released the track Nowhere-Seeking as a live performance video shot and edited by photographer/filmmaker Andrew Kelly. Watch that above. Tour dates below.
