Winnipeg songwriter plans intimate Fredericton performance as part of current tour.
Matt Epp is a Canadian singer-songwriter from Winnipeg, Manitoba. He has released a total of nine albums to date and collaborated with artists like Eliza Gilkyson, Rose Cousins, Serena Ryder, and Amelia Curran, among others.
Matt is a rare performer with the ability to take you into his world and make you feel in an instant like a true friend. His genre has evolved over the years from a country, melancholy singer/songwriter vibe to an upbeat pop music that has elements of rock. His song When You Know has been in the top 5 of the CBC Radio 2 Top 20 for 12 weeks straight. The song is a gorgeous duet with Serena Ryder, which helped her win a JUNO. He has also done a co-write and duet with New Brunswick’s own Jessica Rhaye, Time Will Only Heal Your Broken Heart, which appears on her latest album, just released this fall.
In the past few years Matt has done most of his touring in Europe, largely in Germany and Spain but many other countries including Denmark, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Austria, France, and Croatia. Clearly he is a true Canadian troubadour.
