Glass Tiger will return to the Maritimes this fall for shows in Fredericton, Moncton and Halifax.
In the 1980’s, Newmarket, Ontario’s Glass Tiger quickly rose to national stardom when the group signed to Capital Records for their debut release, The Thin Red Line, an album that would go on to set a record for being the fastest selling album in Canadian history reaching gold status within the first few weeks of its release.
Through their career the band would win numerous JUNO Awards, receive a Grammy nomination and sell well over 5 million albums before going on hiatus in 1993.
Since that time the group have resurfaced on numerous occasions for festival performances and a few short tours.
Recently, the band entered the studio to reimagine many of the group’s hits songs in an amped up acoustic format. 31 features 11 classic Glass Tiger songs as well as a pair of new tracks and appearances by several guest performers including Julian Lennon, Alan Doyle, Susan Aglukark and others.
To celebrate the album’s release, Glass Tiger will set out on a North American tour this fall which will include three Maritime performances.
