Papillon will be hitting the road for a nine date tour through NB, QC, ON and NS in November to support her new album, Shout.
Gabrielle Papillon kicks off a nine date tour on November 14 with a performance at Grimross Brewing Co. in Fredericton.
Papillon will be celebrating the release of her ambitious new album Shout, which is scheduled to arrive on streaming platforms October 25.
To create Shout, Papillon teamed up with several different songwriters, producers and engineers. Each of the album’s seven tracks feature a different supporting cast, with Papillon acting as both performer and executive producer. The result is an album that is far reaching in terms of its influences yet extremely cohesive in the overarching sense of fearless pop exploration that Papillon shares with her craft.
“Every aspect of my personality, and especially things I have grown into, makes an appearance in these songs,” says Papillon. “Pride in finding your own strength in darkness, permeates every song. It starts in solitude, with the mind, battling those inner demons, it ends with resolve, with friendship, with acceptance and fierce fierce willingness to look life in the face.
“I made this record to share with the ones who are itching to bust out of their shells, of the boxes other people have fitted for them,” she says. “For the awkward dancers, and the crowd-averse. For everyone who ever does anything brave even when it is hard.”
