Fundy FRINGE seeking submissions from New Brunswick artists for its ninth annual summer theatre festival.
In preparation for its ninth annual run, organizers of the Fundy FRINGE Festival are in the midst of planning an innovative and safe event for audiences to enjoy this August. In compliance with current Provincial regulations, Festival Director Drew Murdock has decided to limit submissions to artists from the New Brunswick region only.
“Given the uncertainty of the probability of an Atlantic bubble opening up this summer, we felt an NB only festival would be the most considerate option to the artists and planning teams at this time,” said Murdock. “We look forward to returning to a festival that welcomes regional, national and even international artists once again for the 2022 Fundy FRINGE Festival.”
Festival audiences can expect the same innovative, edgy performance art they have come to expect from past FRINGE events. The 2021 festival will be a collection of live performances from local talent along with some streaming content from NB and beyond.
New Brunswick artists are encouraged to submit an application to be part of the 2021 festival on or before Sunday, June 6, 2021. Successful applicants will be selected by lottery and announced on June 8.
