Rising UK Rock Act Set to Play Fredericton
FredRock Music Festival wants to introduce you to The Temperance Movement, who many consider to be Britain’s next great rock and roll band. Festival producers are extremely pleased to add the band to the festival to give Friday night’s show an added punch.
Inspired by fellow Brits, The Rolling Stones and The Faces as well as contemporaries like Jack White and The Black Keys, The Temperance Movement’s authentic blast of soulful rock and roll is as honest and raw as it gets; familiar, yet utterly fresh. After touring non-stop in Europe since 2012, including opening for The Rolling Stones for several concerts, the band is currently touring the United States with Blackberry Smoke this spring before eventually making their way to play FredRock on July 17th.
To help promote their first US tour, the band made their live US radio debut when they visited Fox Sports Radio’s highly rated Steve Gorman Sports!. The show’s host, former Black Crowes drummer Steve Gorman, was knocked out by the band and their energy: “First things first, The Temperance Movement singer is for real,” states Gorman. “He just blew a gasket on my show. I had to remind him that he wasn’t at the Garden just yet. I don’t meet a lot of bands where all of them have a spark, but they certainly did, all 5 of them. Good senses of humor as well. I think simply, they struck me as a real band. They are clearly hungry and clearly determined. God love ‘em.”
