The FAA will host its 2021 annual general meeting online February 18.
Fredericton Arts Alliance’s 2021 AGM will take place online this year and they’re looking for new members interested in joining the board. Board work normally involves one monthly meeting and work on various committees and projects is encouraged.
Ongoing health and safety restrictions have limited a number of regular programs organized by the FAA including its Art in the Schools sessions and Art off the Streets. The organization’s popular Artists in Residence series was successfully delivered this past summer, held for the first time as a series of online events with artists sharing their process and documenting the creation of new work through Facebook and Instagram.
Desirable skills and interests for potential new board members include strong social media abilities, an interest in helping with financial issues and in possibly taking over the treasurer’s duties and/or an interest in helping develop and maintain the FAA’s new website. But beyond that, an interest in the arts and a willingness to collaborate with a great group of board members is paramount.
