Canadian alt-rock troubadour Fred Eaglesmith brings his latest album Standard to the east coast with dates in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and PEI in September.
Mike Smith
There was a long stretch of time when Fred Eaglesmith didn’t bring his music east of Quebec. He released his first solo album in 1980 and built a career through relentless touring and performing, touring that has now taken him around the world in support of more than twenty releases. Thankfully over the past decade he has made the east coast a regular part of his tour planning, visiting now every couple of years backed by a mix of players old and new.
For the past few years now Eaglesmith has been touring with his wife Tiffani ‘Tif’ Ginn, a Texas-born musician who performed for many years with her sister Brit as The Fabulous Ginn Sisters. After performing with Eaglesmith at Texas’ Old Settler’s Music Festival in 2009, he invited the two to join his band and be his opening act on the road. The couple married in 2014.
Fred Eaglesmith Road Show starring Tif Ginn arrives on the east coast in September, touring in support of Eaglesmith’s 22 album, Standard.
