The Newfoundland duo Fortunate Ones wrap up an extensive North American tour with East Coast performances.
After three months of touring with fellow Newfoundlander and former Great Big Sea frontman Alan Doyle, Fortunate Ones are nearing some well-deserved time off. But before the duo of Catherine Allan and Andrew James O’Brien return home to prep for the release of their upcoming sophomore album, Hold Fast, the group will pass through New Brunswick to deliver the last few performances on a tour that has included stops at Massey Hall, the National Arts Centre and the Burton Cumming Theatre.
Last week, Fortunate Ones shared the track, Northern Star, the first single from the new album.
Hold Fast follows the group’s JUNO nominated debut The Bliss, and includes songwriting collaborations with Alan Doyle, Tim Baker and Meg Warren with guest appearances from Jim Bryson, Good Lovelies, Alexa Dirks (Begonia), Mike Belyea (Jenn Grant/David Myles/The Olympic Symphonium) and Kinley Dowling (Hey Rosetta!).
Hold Fast will be officially released May 25 via Old Farm Pony Records.
