Connection Dance Works’ Perspective Series

Category: stage 150

Connection Dance Works host ‘an evening of dance and discussion’ April 5 and 6 with events in Saint John and Fredericton.

Connection Dance Works’ annual Perspective Series is coming up in a few weeks with public events planned for both Saint John and Fredericton.

Twice a year, the Saint John-based contemporary dance company host an event they call Perspective. These events offer artists a unique opportunity to create and collaborate over the course of a week. The events often challenge dancers and musicians to explore their own creativity in new and excitng ways. These creative residencies then conclude with public performances.

Billed as anevening of dance and discussion”, Perspective’s work-in-progress performances are meant to offer audiences a window into the creative process and show how different artists explore ideas together. Each performance includes a talk-back session with the artists.

The upcoming Perspective performances will bring a number of artists together including Toronto-based choreographer Julia Aplin and members of the Motion Ensemble.

CDW are also offering a movement workshop with Julia Aplin on March 31 at the Open Space Theatre in Fredericton from 10-11:30 a.m. This event is open to everyone and costs $10. View event details here.
