Shea is the son of legendary guitarist, Red Shea, known for his distinctive pick work and memorable leads for Gordon Lightfoot. With expressive lyrics and memorable melodies, Let It Storm was developed during a reflective period following his father’s death. Distilling the richness of his own particular musical background, the recording was composed on the same guitar his father used in all of the early Lightfoot hits.

Let it Storm was recorded in Austin, Texas, produced by Gordie Johnson (Big Sugar) and features Willie Nelson’s sister, Bobbie Nelson on keyboard.

For the upcoming shows, Shea will perform as part of an acoustic trio and joined by Adam Dobres (Ruth Moody, Wailin’ Jennys) on acoustic guitar, national slide and mandolin and Blake Palm on upright bass.
