Comeback Kid + Cancer Bats + Botfly at The Cap

Two big nights of blistering hardcore music coming up at The Cap in October.

Matt Carter

The Cap has hosted hundreds and hundreds of bands over the years. And for a small club, most of the acts that take the stage on any given night are perfectly suited for the venue’s snug atmosphere. But every so often, The Cap announces a show that seems out of place, or to put it another way – too big for its cozy confines. Like that time The Sadies played there. Or Every Time I Die. Whoever the band may be in those situations, you can always count on a memorable night and some serious bragging rights somewhere down the line. “I saw them at The Cap.”

Fans of hardcore music are in for a treat in October when Comeback Kid, Cancer Bats and Botfly visit our city’s most cherish live music venue.

Winnipeg’s Comeback Kid recently wrapped up a tour of Europe which included a headlining show at Hellfest in France. Watch their set here and then imagine it on the same stage where you last saw Young Satan in Love.

Cancer Bats haven’t been to Fredericton since they (respectfully) tore up the Charlotte Street Arts Centre back in October of 2017. Remember that show? Deep Fryer opened

And don’t forget Halifax’s Botfly whose brand of Dope, Guns & Fucking in the Street noisecore will round out these beautiful evenings of earspliting joy.

See you in the pit. Or….maybe at the back, near the pit. Don’t spill my beer!
