Collective Theatrics presents Into the Woods June 9-11, 2016.
Into the Woods is a musical that intertwines the plots of several Brothers Grimm and Charles Perrault fairy tales, exploring the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests. The story follows a baker and his wife who wish to have a child, Cinderella who wishes to attend the King’s Festival, and Jack who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch’s curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone’s wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.
This Collective Theatrics production will have three performances on June 9, 10, and 11 with each show beginning at 7:30pm at the Tom Morrison Theatre in Fredericton High School. While the story is about fairy tales, the musical deals with adult themes and is rated PG.
Tickets cost $15 for students, $20 general admission. Groups of 12+ can achieve a group rate of $15 if purchased in advance, for a single performance. There is no group discount for student tickets. Tickets are available in advance from Joy Of Framing, and at the door. Cash sales only
